Gorgeous Wicklow Town girl Leona Franey was crowned 'Wicklow Regatta Festival Queen 2008' at a lavish ceremony in the Grand hotel last Sunday night. A fantastic crowd witnessed an exciting climax of a 2 weeks text voting campaign. Only 7 votes separated first and second. All the girls were resplendent and the committee are grateful to each and every one of them for participating.

Leona is 18 years old and has just completed her Leaving Cert. She is working for Bray town council where she is starting her apprentice in carpentry. Leona in her spare time loves to row. She also loves to play Gaelic and of course socialise.
